Service Description

Walk & Talk counselling is an increasingly popular way to engage with therapy, combining the benefits of movement with professional mental health support. Research shows that physical activity can support emotional well-being, and by integrating walking with counselling, you can experience a more dynamic and holistic approach to care. For some, the traditional setting of sitting in a room for an hour can feel overwhelming or anxiety-inducing. The expectation of sustained eye contact and a continuous conversation may feel challenging. Walk & Talk offers a different approach—moving through a natural environment can create a more comfortable and relaxed space for reflection and connection. Many clients find that walking outdoors helps them gain clarity, feel calmer, and experience an uplifted mood, enhancing the therapeutic process. We will discuss suitable walking locations during a brief 15-minute introductory phone call, and when we meet, you can set the pace to ensure the session feels safe and comfortable.
